The Survival of Homo Sapiens
A Story of Adaptation and Invention
As Homo sapiens, we are the sole survivors of a lineage that once included many human species. We endured where others vanished — largely because of our ability to adapt to changing conditions and to invent new ways of living.
Today, the pace of change staggers the imagination. Science is reshaping our world. We are more interconnected than ever, even as we strain the planet’s resources and multiply without restraint.
Yet we cling to outdated beliefs, inherited from times long gone, that no longer serve us in the new realities of the modern world we live in.
Many are now beginning to see in this moment the beginnings of a transformative era — a new worldview — one that demands fresh vision and courage if we are to thrive.
We’re far from knowing all the answers. In fact, we’ve only just begun to put the pieces together.
Still, we have vastly more knowledge and perspective than our cave-dweller ancestors—knowledge we can use for our greater good, or to do far more damage to our fragile world than humanity could have ever done in the past.
It’s time once again, in humanity’s evolutionary journey, to take stock and to once again adapt. It’s time to rethink our beliefs in light of the new concepts of reality currently emerging, and time to abandon beliefs that stand in the way of our continued survival as a species.
It’s time to replace the old puzzle pieces of our lives with new ones that are a better fit for the world as we know it now.

The articles throughout this publication are rooted in a bold premise: we’re at the dawn of an emerging worldview that will be dramatically different than the worldview most people today revolve their lives around.
While there are no easy answers, there can be no doubt that our deep-seated beliefs are being questioned in all corners of the world. Assumptions about what’s true and what’s false are being examined. The role of organized religions is under attack. Our once firmly held belief that humans were somehow special within the cosmic scheme of things is increasingly doubted.
Much of this debate springs from what science now tells us about the nature of reality. It also stems from the growing sense of unrest people around the world are feeling given the increasing complexities of modern life.
Articles throughout this website speak to these matters—not with the aim of providing answers, but with the goal of opening inquiry into what’s possible as we move toward the future and as we work towards building a new worldview.

Clarifying Reality offers a space for rethinking the puzzle pieces of our lives—who we, our purpose, our deep-seated beliefs, and how we live from day-to-day—at a time when our changing views of reality are starting to shape a new worldview.
There can be no mistaking the fact that science is now in the process of revealing a view of reality far different than the one we thought we knew—a reality based on the unity of all things, and on the idea that what we thought were “things” can now be described more in terms of clusters of energy rather than matter.
Now is not just a time to just sit back and marvel.
Propelled by our changing understanding of the nature of reality, it’s time to begin chipping away at old frameworks and dogmatic beliefs that are inconsistent with the reality that advanced sciences, in fields as diverse as physics and medicine, are in the process of revealing.
It’s about getting our bearings straight at a time when what we once thought was true turns out to be false, while clinging to life rafts to keep from drowning in the sea of change.
Blending insights from science, spirituality, philosophy, and the arts, Clarifying Reality invites us to update our beliefs amidst the crush of change.
It’s about weighing our options and engaging in the process of weaving a new worldview with intention, even though the path forward remains uncertain. It’s about trailblazing a new future based on uncertain and often conflicting inputs.
